Peter Vitello Rides in the Pan Mass Challenge for Charity
For the 15th consecutive year, I will join thousands of cyclists on August 2ND & 3rd in the 35th annual Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC); the two-day, 200-mile cycling event from Sturbridge to Provincetown, Massachusetts.
The ride is always about the highs and lows of this disease and how it impacts all of our lives. When we register for the PMC, we are signing up for a fundraising mission first, and bikeride second.? Our families have Dad’s, Mom’s, grandparents, siblings, neighbors, etc. battling the disease; and those that have courageously battled but lost their lives to this awful disease. As you may know, my mother Mae, is a 2-time cancer survivor, my dad Joe, is a recent bladder cancer survivor and my father-in-law Bob, lost his courageous fight with cancer in 1998.?? Progress is made week by week and year by year in finding ways to treat and develop cures for cancer. Your incredible generosity fuels that progress. Raising money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is the core of the PMC mission.?? 100{c2e1cf3a03c032deb4cf8de0929aaaa094a696bb61f7231277de9beeaa138dd7} of every dollar PMC cyclists raise goes directly to the world’s most incredible faculty of cancer care givers and researchers. In the face of a disease that leaves me feeling so helpless, riding the PMC gives me hope.
This year my fundraising commitment is $4,500.00. Given the very challenging economic times many are facing, I am more than aware of the number of times that I have asked the same phenomenal group of family and friends to support my PMC ride. I am always so amazed and humbled by your generosity and your kindness.??? Thank you so much for joining me in helping to find a cure for cancer.
Many, many thanks????.Pete, Jacqui, Amanda & Peter Vitello
